The making of sugar waffle by hand

Once you get more familiar with the process, you will be able to make it like this with sugar coated all around the edges.

You can also make another type of waffle with another dough mixture like the one shown below.

Or pack them in a box

When the waffles are done, stack them up like this to prevent them from drying up.

Repeat for the rest of the doughs.

Done! When its hot from the iron, let it cool down for 10 minutes before eating as the melted sugar is really hot.

Put the dugh ball in and bake for about 2 minutes.

Heat the waffle iron to about mark 4 on the thermostat control.

Then split the large dough into small balls according to your preference.

Once the dough is formed, cover the dough for 1 to 2 hours to let it rise to double the size.

Mix evenly till a dough is form. Add in the pearl sugar. Mix again.

Put flour, yeast, eggs, milk, salt, butter, vanilla essence into a mixing bowl.

So how do you make this at home?

First of all, you need to have this Belgian Pearl Sugar. This is not available in Singapore, but you can buy some from me if you like to try.

There are many different types available, so picking the right sugar is important.

Very Tasty
